<p><img class="alignleft" title="rita-knorr" src="http://fulcrumblu.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/rita-knorr1.png" alt="Rita Knorr" width="100" height="122" />After a 25-year career in engineering, I feel fortunate to have been able to pursue a totally new career path. And I am doubly blessed to have had wonderful teachers. In 1993, I met Swami Chidvilasananda (Gurumayi) and was first introduced to Siddha Yoga meditation. Gurumayi and other teachers of Siddha Yoga have provided guidance in my studies of hatha yoga and meditation. I began expanding my interest in hatha yoga and participated in trainings by John Friend—an internationally recognized yoga instructor, creator of Anusara Yoga, and student of Gurumayi. I’ve also studied with numerous other nationally recognized teachers. Principles of Anusara Yoga and Siddha Yoga meditation continue to guide my practices and teaching style. As a teacher of hatha yoga since 1997, I’ve conducted progressive classes, sessions for students with special needs, weekend workshops and teacher trainings. I also offer private instruction in my two personal Fulcrum Blu studios located in Chicago and St. Petersburg, Florida.</p>
