Shoulder and hip opening sequence
≤30 min. It's no surprise that many yoga practices focus on tense shoulders and tight hips -- those are such highly mobile joints which also make them vulnerable to injury if both strength and flexibility are not balanced. This very accessible to all practice has a little bit of this, a little bit of that...and includes some favorite actions that balance strength and flexibility and bring shoulder and hips into alignment. This sequence is slightly unusual in its approach because the shoulders are emphasized first -- whereas in most practices we start from the foundation in standing poses and then move to the upper body.
