Yoga Basics: 3 Sun Salutations

≤15 min. Sun Salutes, or Surya Namaskar is a sequence that flows. Although there are many forms - some fast, others slow, but most have elements of the classic 12 postures. This practice gives you a basic understanding of the salute that you can customize. The poses include tadasana, urdhva hastasana, uttanasana, anjayneasana, adho mukha svanasana, palankasana, and bhujangasana. Note that inhale breath typically involves spinal extension (opening) , while exhale is done for spinal flexion (closing).
